The sutures are out!

Post by DeVon »

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. Lori Ann's sutures were taken out this week and she healed very well. A couple more days of keeping her separated from the other dogs since her skin is so thin and we don't want to risk tearing that back open, but she's done super. She didn't rub it nearly as much as I thought, and he did a great job of suturing the wound. Maybe I can breathe easier now for about 5 minutes around this nuthouse!

Me too! Does Ringo have scars now from his tomcat ordeal? Those big ol tomcats can be pretty feisty! (Just ask Mister Kister, he still thinks he's tough even though he has been deprived of his, uh, er, well, manhood)

yep, Ringo has scars..actually still has a scab on the wound nearest his eye- that was a bad hit, he and we were very lucky the eye survived. The hair is starting to grow back so he looks almost normal again. The tip of his right ear is missing - bitten off by Mike Tyson, no doubt, in a fight before Ringo moved in here for keeps. He does have a record of his life on the street.
