Sorry, E's, but an article with a lot of myths perpetuated, herself, and that she is the owner of yet another iffy dog treat company, there is is a glaring bias, obviously.

Thanks for your input, Traci. Yes, as a longtime market research employee, I am aware that such skimpy and opinionated statements as this person makes do not necessarily indicate valid statistics - especially in these days of "social media." That is why I posted the item here.

I do not have a dog now, but I remember an excellent vet recommending these "Greenies" years ago... and I do have a cat who has trained himself to ask so sweetly for his daily "Temptations"... This whole pet treats controversy scares the Hell out of me and I am trying to gather all the information I can on the subject!

E's, thanks for the additional comments, I guess with a lot of training, we can spot the obvious!

I agree, it is increasingly difficult to find good treats for our pets. I do still use Temptations on rare occasion for my indoor cats, and a little more often for the outside cats. I was a big fan of Pounce treats for awhile, until they ended up on a recall list. I like the Temptations because they have a large variety of flavors and because they are so low in calories.

Believe it or not, my cats really really love the Science Diet feline hypoallergenic diet treats (listed as so evil in the link). But, for some reason, the point-of-sale didn't take off so they were left off the shelves for some time. They're back again now, but expensive as h*ll. As are pet food prices, skyrocketing beyond affordability
