Groundbreaking Surgical Procedure Will Allow Dog with Amputated Limb to Walk on Four Legs Again http://news.ncsu.edu/news/2008/07/cassidy-surgery.php
but here are two pictures of our three legged dog who was as active as any four legged dogs...his only problem was relearning how to urinate,,,he first proped his body against the lamp post...but he used to follow the kids on their bikes, me on my motor cycles...he was an accident case that was brought in and dumped.

Re: about the three legged dog
We've discussed this for years, its either my brother #5 or his best friend. I think its my brother. See what happens when you get old.
Re: about the three legged dog
that's sad......to not recognize your own brother.....
now the story and pics are great....I should pass that story on to a friend of mine...her son is an amputee and became a prosthetic major and custom fitter....
speaking of tripods.....the cat with the broken leg, that I have been trying to lure near for MONTHS now....has been letting me pet him!!! I just MIGHT be able to get him to the vet this weekend....we have had a standing appointment for months now....if I can catch him...get him in there!!
