Thank you davet. I am very familiar with maggots. Had a dog at the vet I use to work for named maggot we later called her maggie. She was my hero dog. Found head to toe tar and feathered burned, down to her skin and with maggots all over her. THe maggots saved her as a matter of fact. We treated her for soooooooo long. She was such a great dog about it. She recovered WITH hair to boot and her skin was so soft. We did find her a home but SHE was the dog that cured me of anything to do with anything bad with maggots. I wear gloves when dealing with my trash but I dont mind maggots at all. There are only a select few things that will make me feel icky. Maggots and bot flies aren't one of them. BUT i will remember what you say because well you never know what will want to go deposit their eggs in the wounds.

I have been checking on them and they are healing very well.
