worming

Post by lmd »

A friend has a 35 pound Siberian Husky pup that she needs to worm for roundworm. The vet gave her panacur, andwritten instructions say to give the pup 8 cc repeated for a total of three days. It is a holiday, but we wondered if that isn`t much more than we had in the past. Any ideas of a proper dosage? Or maybe they diluted the panacur to make measuring easier?

Does the vet not have an answering service for emergency calls? If not, call another vet in the area and state the Rx instructions and the size of the panacur syringe given you. It should not have been diluted.

Btw, "repeated" means to repeat the course in 2 or 3 weeks.
