An Update:
As of today Casey's PCV is 40! This is after finishing off her meds except for Prednisone which she now only takes once a day. She's doing much better. I am not sure when we are to return back to our vet. She plans to call me and let me know. She said since Casey's doing so well we won't have to monitor her each week like we have been. Her urination is back to a more normal level since she's on less prednisone she's not drinking excessively. Her eating is a different story she weighs 41 lbs! I have to watch to make sure our other dogs are getting their share. Our dr. has given the ok to exercise her more too. That should help!
Any info. on auto immune defiency in dogs please!

Glad to hear this Beth.....if you can, try getting copies of Casey's charts and post what your vet most suspected. (other than wild onions) I'm still wondering about possible tick disease....

I spoke with her for a little while yesterday. She's ruled out ticks. I don't know if it show why she has on the tests on not. I've never seen any ticks on her or our other pets. Casey did have a bunch of fleas on her just before she got so ill. She said its possible the fleas were to blame. We will probably never completely know though. She's been consulting Casey's case with another vet. I almost get the impression that what Casey has doesn't happen too often. Our vet has been in practice at least since 1981 maybe a bit longer.Traci wrote:Glad to hear this Beth.....if you can, try getting copies of Casey's charts and post what your vet most suspected.
