Dogs can get VD or transmissible VD..these tumors arae rather gross but they can be removed when needed....if interested, file this away in case your dog ever gets it

ICK!! I had heard of this, but never saw any pictures. It's interesting that they think the tumor cells cause the spread - seems a bit odd. Sounds more like a viral process (similar to human HPV - some of the genital warts can get like that - really large, ugly, and nasty). Do you know if any research has been done in that area?

i suspect there has been lots of research because it has been going on for many years..the first case i ever saw was prior to vet school, working for a vet...they are pretty easy to remove is you get them early enough....if too late on a male you have to do a penile removeal and the urinate out the back just like a female....
