I have a 14yr old rescue pom that I adopted. He has multiple health issues. Enlarged heart, grade 3 murmur, enlarged liver, hyperthyroidism and arthritis in his spine. His spine is fusing? I think is what they told me.
Anyways, the thing is sometimes you can tell he's uncomfortable trying to lay down. And I was wondering what if anything I could give him for the discomfort.
He's on Thryroxine 0.5mg one tablet 2 times/day, Furosemide 12.5mg half tablet twice/day and Enalapril 2.5mg once a day.

Re: asprin ok for dog with liver problems?
Never give aspirin unless upon strict guidance/supervision from your vet.
If you haven't lately, perhaps a recheck evaluation and new ECG is warranted to determine if the present course of treatment may need to be adjusted. Only your vet can advise. If you suspect your dog is suffering pain, discuss this with your vet so that he can determine the source and treat so that it does not interfere with the current medications.

one minor point...the liver has to detoxify the aspirin so i think it wouod be very iffy to give aspirin...but as said before check with your vet
