deprive you guys of it so here it is::
whein i bought my practice in 1957 there was a smoking project goiing on....there were 40 dogs in the kennel who smoked cigarettes (true read on) 20 of them smoked a pack a day and twent smoked two packs aday (sure) ...the all had tracheal tubes in them and the girls would let one bunch out of their cages in the morning and the dogs would run to their own little lab station, hop in and the gals would connect the smoking apparatus to their tubes....after a pack per dog, they would go back and the two packers would come in and get hooked up....they were acrtually really anxious to get hooked up which means they were hooked on cigarettes.....it was sponsered byt the American Tobacco Assn.. but azfter a year or two the project ceased because the dogs started to develope cancer and emphysema just like humans..It appeared to be a cruel project but at least ehd gos were treated well....the Gals, after hooking up the dogs would go and play checkers or cards in a room just clouded with smoke and both of them had their own cigarettes...for years after we would come across tobacco tars imbedded on the wall or back of cages.......
