Sounds like you had a similar injury to Carter's, he also has a bone chip, on the inside of his left foot. The vet did mention surgery as an option down the road, after rest and medication. The cast would come next, then surgery if necessary. I am worried about long term effects and will do whatever is necessary to help him heal the best he can.

I am not sure it was so much bravery as greed...LOL...I wanted that vacation day for my trip to MOntreal to pick up DH (Fiance at the time) and I was not going to waste one day of saved vacation and sick days for what was supposed to be a simple surgery...I still even went to work afterwards...LOL...on crutches...foot in moon boot, pain meds and ice packs, and just propped it up on an open file drawer for the day...
It is a good idea to keep a close watch on it and just make sure that bone fragment does not do worse damage...I learned the hard way!
