when is best time for chloe to get spayed?
Re: when is best time for chloe to get spayed?
If she's only 10 weeks old, she's probably only had one series of boosters, which isn't an ideal protection. I'd wait until after her third series to start any puppy classes or any classes in which she would be exposed to any number of other pups (that you don't know whether or not they have been vaccinated).

doh, we've already register for the class in petsmart. chloe has already gotten her 1st set of shots, and next weekend, she's going in for her second set of shots.
in that case, i'd better call petsmart and tell them we need to cancel.
EDIT: Cancel that.. I call the instructor at petsmart.. and they require chloe to be at least 10 weeks old and have at least 2 sets of shots. Chloe has her first set of shots when she's with the breeder and getting her 2nd set of shots on 2/25 just when she turns 12 weeks old.
as for spaying.. i'm checking around to see when would be the best time. we're hoping for her to get it at 3 months.. cuz right now she's growing fast.. and growing longer too.. hehe. so hopefully by 3 months she'll be strong enough to take the anesthesia.
