Reading again about chocolate poisoning in dogs (in Kevin's room) . Doesn't that kinda make you wonder how good it is for ppl? You scientists here..what do you say- is chocolate "bad" for you (us 2 footed yous)? (Not that it will stop me from eating it) 8-[
PLUS....HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD of a dog being allergic to peanuts like some ppl are? There are a lot of peanut treats out there for dogs.

Funny you should post this..
New study in the British Medical Journal suggests regular chocolate eaters had up to a year longer life than those who didn't - and suggest a possible mechanism in the antioxidant phenols found in chocolate. Looks like a daily Hershey's bar for me!

Well
If if feels good, tastes good or sounds good it will be either illegal, immoral or deadly, so I stopped worrying about that a long time ago and will just enjoy the stuff til it kills me. ....

I usually eat a chocolate bar for my afternoon snack, and...
...then have some carrots in the evening. Of the two, I definitely enjoy my chocolate bar more
good question , i think it is an idiosyncratice problem
with dogs (like tha t word) i don't remember cats or other animals having a problem with it,,i suspect some kids may get a local rash but not the anaphylaxis and collapse that dogs get....and also never heard of a peanut allergy in dogs but then again the longer i go the less i heard..

.........Definitely the chocolate bar!!...........
I wouldn't share it with my dog though. My first Doberman got into the Halloween candy one year and ate a bowl full of Baby Ruth, Snickers and Three Musketeers.........wrappers and all!
He was too sick to care about trick or treaters ringing the doorbell every 5 minutes.
Thankfully, it all passed--
He was a very mischieveous dog, I could write a book of stories on that rascal. He was soooo bad--always getting into trouble!
