Re Deramaxx - yes I had a brain glitch LOL...

Post by E's »

'Way past my usual bedtime last nite, at the end of a busy day. Thanks Davet for info... I am trying not to be panicky about Win's beautiful littermate, but want to gather all the information I can about meds, etc., now that it looks like arthritis and HD is in both breed lines after all. As I wrote last nite, male GSD Chance seems perfectly fine right now, although his owners say he still has discomfort sometimes... if the meds aren't exactly on schedule, for example. Like Win's co-owners, these near neighbors are busy people... while we're friendly when we meet, we do not move in the same circles since our dogs were in obedience classes together and do not see each other often. I learned yesterday they are online, so maybe we can be in closer touch in the future.

Skeptic, I am unable to bring up www.deramaxx.com from either Netscape or Internet Explorer - it's not your link post but the site itself... I'll keep trying, though still not absolutely sure this is the med Chance is on.... Stay tuned LOL

Must've been my silly old jumbled up system. Now that I see the page on Deramaxx, I am 99.5% sure this is what GSD Chance is taking... his owner said, "...a brownish, chewable tablet" [the brown would be the beef flavor I expect.] BTW Chance's people take him to Causeway Vets, which has a very good rep here, as you know. I have no plans to switch Win from Lakeview (which has served me well for over 25 years) but I dread even discussing what a Nsaids regimen would cost... LOL - I have an HMO but Winnie doesn't! Thanks again for link and info.

Deramaxx

Post by Rachel »

Hi,

I also could not access the webpage with the link that Skeptic provided yesterday, but today I do seem to be able to open the link to the site successfully.

I have another link for Deramaxx info and thought I'd post it in this thread too.

I think it's hard to tell in advance which dogs will do fine on Deramaxx and which might have adverse reactions. For more information (quite in depth) go here:
