Tree sap on paws
Tree sap on paws
Does anyone know how to remove tree sap from paws other than cutting the fur off? The trees are fir, cedar and pine. Thanks.
Re: Tree sap on paws
you mighht try freezing it or icing it to make it more solid thenput a comb behind it and cut the residue off...what is you objection to cutting the hai???but cooling it down works but you gonna loose some hair.,....
Re: Tree sap on paws
I know a solvent like turpentine will disolve it, but I don't recommend using it on a dog. Maybe alcohol? Me, I just cut it out. We don't have a problem here, but I used to have a yard full of pine trees, and Leah got into it often.

Re: Tree sap on paws
dont know if it will work, but the vet-techs at my clinic have suggested dawn soap for dealing with motor oil on cats.
Re: Tree sap on paws
Do you mean Dawn dish soap? I can try that, thank you. I don't mind cutting it out but sometimes it is also right on the pads and I can't cut that!!!!
