What's a good shampoo & conditioner to avoid "itchi

Post by Traveling Mom »

Just wondering if there is anything over the counter that I can use that won't cause any "itchies" afterwards. I've been using "Buddy Wash" shampoo from Trader Joe's --just wondered if there is something better out there, and if a conditioner is needed to make sure skin is not dried out from the shampoo. I bathe him every other month because he gets so dirty from the mulch, dirt, and other things in our garden (but we use no pesticides or insecticides, etc!)

Thanks!

Ask for an oatmeal-based safe dog shampoo from your vet (hypoallergenic). Can also ask about Hylite from your vet....alittle pricier than commercial dog shampoos, but worth it (has conditioners in it, conditioning spray-on also available)
