New puppy help.

Post by Amandasmom »

My co worker just got a 3 month old bassett doxie ??? mix. She is staying at my house until my co worker can find an apartment that allows dogs. Don't ask me why we put the cart before the horse. I was thinking of fostering dogs and thought this would be a good experience.

It's been 8 years since I had a puppy. I'm an idiot when it comes to this. I take Ali outside to the same spot and wait and wait and wait. Then when I go back into the house, she poops or pees on the floor. What's up with that? I know it's all in the timing but any suggestions would help. I was thinking of doing the old match stick in the butt thing but everyone thought that was a crazy idea.

My 3 dogs love her even though they out weigh her by 70 to 80 pounds. They are real gentle and patient. She loves playing with their tails.

Great web site, thanks. I have that site book marked. I don't know why I didn't check it out. I guess it's the new puppy panic.
