Lab urinating indoors, please help.

Post by Melinda »

In the last month our lab has starting urinating indoors. We are trying to figure out why he started doing this and how to make him stop. The only thing we can see that has changed was we had a Dachshund that we had to give to a rescue because she was snapping at and bit my daughter. Could this be why he started doing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also he is 3-4 years old and hasn't had this problem since he was a pup.

Could be a behavioral problem, but I think the first step is to take your dog to the vet for an examination, and have the urine checked to make sure there is no urinary tract infection.

try to take a urine sample...place a hunk of cotton in his stream, you cana hold the cotton with two little branches or what ever, place it is a zip lock bag and take that with you...the vet can then sqwueeze the bag and get the sample
