Puppy oil & older dog habits...

Post by momPaws »

Boy giving an oil supplement really works..Honey had been itching and I started her suppl. again..in 2 days I can see a difference.

For those with senior dogs...do your dogs still play a lot..are they still active. Honey is something- at 10 she is still playing a lot. She sits down more than she used to because of her arthritis, but she is still very active and can even play with her toys when she is laying down. (Thank goodness!) And outside she runs like a puppy. Wish I had her energy :?

I have two senior girls. Jezebel, my coon/grey is 13, and still likes to play with dogs, or young children. Can still run like the wind too.

Jingles, my GSD/Dobe turned 17 on 7/4. She was still playing until mid-winter. She has DM, and not being able to get her out for short walks during the lengthy extremely cold winter, took its toll. She tries, but being unsteady makes it difficult for her. Now I play floor games with her and Jezzy, which they both enjoy.

Mickey tries to play, but he isn't very active any more. The arthritis in his hips, back, and neck really gets him down.

Angel is about 9 or 10 (we think) and is still fairly active. She loves to go after Allie and Mickey, and chase flying birds and planes. She spends alot of time resting, too. She's my "comfort hound" - you'll most likely find her wherever the softest pillow is.
