Losing logon.
I thought I posted this already, but it isn't here.
Scenario:
On PC with Windows XP Pro (Second Edition) and AOL 9.0.
Go to Cathelp and logon (automatically.)
Go to any forum and read/post messages.
Click on Forums Forum Index at top to return to Index.
On reaching Index I am no longer Logged on and have to logon again.
What is going on here? Can this be fixed.
Notice: I do not see this problem when logged on using the Mac under OS 9.4 and AOL 5.0

Re: Losing logon.
Have you made any recent changes to your settings or cache, firewall or antivirus programs? (would be a good idea to check for viruses)
Otherwise, try using login without the "automatic" feature.

Re: Losing logon.
It sometimes shows me my own post marked as 'unread'. That's also weird.
Re: Losing logon.
What do you mean, Ash, your post will be highlighted until you click on it.

Re: Losing logon.
Usually when I reply to a post and return to the main page, it doesn't show red for 'new post'. But sometimes it shows red (new post) for the reply I myself have just posted.
Re: Losing logon.
When you reply, it's a new post, and therefore will be highlighted, until you click on or read it.

Re: Losing logon.
Sorry, I should elaborate, when you are logged in, if you post, your session will automatically mark it read. I wonder if someone posted directly after you, or if there was a post in the forum you had not yet read, that's the only reason it should have been highlighted.

No, I'm positive there was nobody posting after me and no old unread posts. I checked cause I was puzzled; it happened two or three times. Maybe it had to do with problems with IE I had and losing the cookies?
Never mind, it's not a problem, just thought I mention it in case something is wrong with the settings on the site itself.

Re: Losing logon.
No changes in settings. Same Antivirus program I have been running, with weekly updates of descriptions and occassionally they update a DLL or otther part of the program. even more rarely they update the whole program.
Re: Losing logon.
Try clearing your cache and cookies, then restart your browser. I'm at a loss on what to do further than that
