bulletin board etiquette
not to offend anyone, but it's makes for a nice community when everyone is following a standard of posting and replying...at least close to it. the board will have a nice overall apperance to it and over time when hundreds and even thousands of posts/replies are made, it won't be a chore to read them.
posting a topic
Everyone is required to follow our House Rules. Our goal is to provide a helpful and friendly environment for all. Any person who abuses the rules may receive only one warning or may be banned entirely. There are no exceptions.
FAQ's
An extensive FAQ section is available to answer general questions about the board. The majority of your questions will be outlined there. There is a FAQ button at the top of each forum and each category. Please refer to it first before posting board-related questions on the forums.

posting a topic
- select an appropiate forum for your post from the main page (pick the one that is closest to your topic)
- once in the appropiate forum, click the new topic button
- enter a brief summary (less than 15 words) in the subject field (do not start the message in the subject)
note: no need in using tags like "msg" or "nm" since other users will need to select the post anyhow when they reply - type your message for the new topic in the message body section
- you may use html or bbcode to display various text styles and for inserting pictures
- be sure to verify that either html or bbcode is enabled for the post before you post it
- you may want to hit the preview buttom prior to submitting the post to be sure you have used various tags correctly
- click the submit button to post the topic
- you have two options when replying, either post reply or quote
post reply : simply reply to a topic without including prior text in your post
quote (button inside the original topic) : reply to a topic while quoting the previous text body.
you will want to quote a message if you desire to draw attention to a particular section of the topic you are replying to, your response to the quote will go after the quote of the original poster. most replies do not need to quote the original message
(off the wall) quoting example
original post :
i like cats. my cat is so funny, he plays all of the time.
oh, by the way...is the bleeding normal for my cat?
a quoted response :
ask yourself replacing "my cat" with your name. hope that helps.mental wrote:oh, by the way...is the bleeding normal for my cat?
respectfully,
helpful user - add in your text for a response in the message body section
- click the submit button to post the topic
