follow these steps to create and activate an account

click on the register button from the main page

read the entire disclaimer/agreement terms and click the appropiate hyperlink if you agree to the terms
enter the required fields (denoted by an *) and click the submit button
check your email account for a verification mail

this is used to be sure that you are who you say you are, not for spamming purposes...notice that when you create the account you can choose to have you email address hidden (recommended)
the mail sent to you will include a hyperlink that you must visit in order to activate your account, the link may wrap depending on your mail reader settings. be sure to copy-n-paste the entire url into your web browser.
you should see a message on the webpage that informs you that your account has been activated and you may then login
