My next door neighbors are moving to Savannah, and moved the dogs last weekend. They got crates for them, put them in the back of the truck, and moved them after dark when it was cooler. They made the trip OK, but the next morning the neighbors found him passed on (they were outside dogs). I might suspect bloat, or even overheating.
He was a super lovable Bloodhound, completely untrained and far too much dog for that family, but I fell in love with him...it was hard not to. I was gonna miss him anyway, but this is hard.
