May was a terrible month at the shelter. We have had the highest incidence of euthanasias since Linda took over the Shelter Two years ago. Our only excuse was that they came in large groups that made it impossible for us to find them homes or contact rescue groups. ....
We started the month with 20 dogs and 17 cats. We finished with 26 dogs and 19 cats. During the month we took in 79 dogs and 139 cats. 47 dogs and 125 cats were euthanized.
Most of these animals loved life and had nothing wrong with them. Many were young and wonderful animals. Their only crime was being unwanted. These nameless victims are the ones I am asking you to pray for. Them and the thousands like them in shelters around the world. .....
Not for any of mine, but
