Goodbye to Lincoln

Post by Guest »

:sadshake:

Hi Everyone: I posted a little while ago about Lincoln my cat that had a kidney infection. Well, I had to put him down yesterday 1 day before the actual date that Walt and I found him. We enjoyed our 13 months with this bundle of joy, but let me tell you it was the hardest thing I ever had to endure. In tribute to him, Walt and I would like to remind pet owners to cherish your pets and love them as we are not promised an infinite amount of time on earth. I would say that we were chosen to make his little bit of time here well spent.

Just to let you all know, it was nothing the vet could do as he was so weak. We tried all that was suggested. His kidneys just were not strong enough and Dr. B and the staff here in Chestnut Hill did a wonderful job of taking care of us in our time of need.

I just wanted to talk.

Thanks

Walt and Lori

Walt and Lori,

I am so very sorry to learn this, my heart goes out to you...

Did your vet ever conclude a true diagnosis? Such as toxin vs viral vs polycystic kidney disease?

It sounds like you did everything you could for Lincoln, I hope you can find peace in your heart knowing that, and for loving him so much.

Safe and gentle journey, sweet Lincoln.....(((HUGS)))

Hi Everyone: Thanks for the support. Traci-I will find that out this week once I pick up his ashes. They did re-test him again and he was negative for FIV/LUK.
