My DH picked up Allie's ashes yesterday
My DH picked up Allie's ashes yesterday
All that is left of her is in a tiny wooden box, maybe 4x4x4 inches, with her name and 1998-2013. He texted me after he picked them up and said he was crying in the vet office parking lot - just looking at how small it was. It made me cry just knowing how he felt, and when I came home and saw it, it was so sad. I'm crying now just typing this. Allie - we miss you baby girl!

Aww, I know the feeling, Karen. I felt the same way when I picked up Java's cremains. It does give me some comfort, though, to know there are now 3 of my babies close by and watching over me. (((HUGS)))

Sometimes I just sit and hold Emmy's box...

I try to think of it as my babies are home with me, forever.

This is the 4th box, and in so many ways, that's 4 too many. Thanks to everyone for understanding.

They're proof of love, Karen. Better to have four boxes than never have had the love of four precious critters.
