Firworks are lethal to our furkids

a friend of ours lost their chocolate lab a few minutes ago...Spunky ran up and grabbed a lit firecracker before they knew what was happening...

they immediately called the on-call vet and got him in...it had cut the inside of his throat and did too much damage...

Oh no, how traumatic! We've NEVER lit fireworks off with pets around... I wouldn't even dream of it. The thought of having them there never even occurred to me. Anything I wouldn't let a 3 year old do, I won't let my pets do... including be around dangerous objects without being restrained and directly supervised.
