a friend of mine lost her grandmother about a month ago...grandma had lived with her and her family...Grandma had a cat that she had for 17 years, and they were not sure how old she was when she adopted her...they named her Kelly...
Kelly was grandma's kitty and never liked anyone else...not even Mary...
Since grandma died...Kelly just moped around...would not eat much...laid in grandma's room...on her chair...missing Grandma terribly...
Mary and her family have been trying everything for the last month to make Kelly feel better...taking her and making sure nothing was physically wrong...special foods...heating pads for her frail body...
They woke this morning to find that Kelly had died in her sleep...and Mary said she can imagine Kelly laying contently once again in Grandma's lap and Grandma just stroking her fur...
So Old Lady Kelly and Little Kitten Ellie crossed together this morning....
safe journey Kelly...I hope you are comfy on Grandma's lap by now

Re: Another Kitty Went to The Bridge Today
It was wonderful to hear about the bond Kelly kitty had with Grandma. They obviously loved each other so much! Some kitties are definitely a "one-person cat". I'm sure it was so hard for Kelly when "her" person was gone. Your friends should take comfort in knowing they did everything they could to help Kelly feel better. I know peope can die from "Broken Heart Syndrome". I think our furbabies can too.
I'm sure Grandma was even happier in Heaven when she saw her Kellie coming to her from the Rainbow Bridge. God Bless them both.

My kitties Shadow and Tank enable me to enjoy my existence and brighten my world. And may my angels, Nikki, Sparky, Buster, Frosty, Snowball, Leo, Foghorn, and Humane Society kitties be playing in the sunshine at the Rainbow Bridge.
