Slvr, I'm so glad to hear the wonderful news about Izzy. That blood test must have been very exciting for the staff at the vet's!
I'm so glad Emmy came to visit you in a dream. I've had some people tell me that my dreams about my angels were just "wishful thinking". I don't believe that for a minute. I've had visits when I was wide awake - once before I had even gone to bed for the night. I suppose they would say I was "delusional". These visits are very real and give so much comfort.
Take care.

My kitties Shadow and Tank enable me to enjoy my existence and brighten my world. And may my angels, Nikki, Sparky, Buster, Frosty, Snowball, Leo, Foghorn, and Humane Society kitties be playing in the sunshine at the Rainbow Bridge.

I agree Sue...I had "visits" from both my daddy and Willow not long after they passed and they weren't wishful thinking. They were very real....

Re: Emmy's sick. :(
It's been four and a half months.
I still bawl my eyes out whenever I think about her.
Just told someone her story on another forum and cannot stop crying. I want my little girl back.

Slvr, I'm sort of going through this again too, with the loss of my Cotton (March 15) - I've been feeling very numb for a long time and can't really explain it. In my case, I think it might be because coupled with several other events in the last 6 or so months, I think it just became too much for me losing Cotton. There are still every day routines that I can barely get through because they always involved him, it's been tough.
Emmy was very special, the way she came into your life, and sadly and unexpectedly taken from you. She and Izzy were your rock when your hubby was overseas, and got you through some tough times, I understand that all too well. Such a loss can be incredibly difficult and can take considerable time to work through it.
I just want you to know you're not alone. I also believe that Emmy is with you, watching over you, and trying to help you through this. (((((((HUGS)))))))

No, you aren't alone. I've been going through photos and scanning them to save as digital files. Ran across some older photos of Willow and for the last few days I've been bawling at the most unexpected times. Silver, what you said - "I want my little girl back" - I totally understand. I want my Willow back.

I can't believe how much I still miss her. I thought it would fade with time. It doesn't hit me as frequently, but when it does, it's damn near unbearable. Reading Sienna's story took me right back. It's so unbelievably heartbreaking when there's nothing you can do to save them.
My sweet little baby kitten, I miss your love so, so much...

Dot, I WISH. Still living with the folks, though, and they have ABSOLUTELY put their foot down on any additional pets while I am in their home. I fear what may become of me if and when I ever own my own house. At the very least, I'll be needing Traci's blueprints for the posh outdoor kitty shelter for the neighborhood wanderers.
Besides, as much as I hate to admit it... Izzy is REALLY happy being the queen of the house. She gets all the attention, all the lovin', and there are no big scary dogs or young energetic kittens to steal her glory. It would be a disservice to her to bring any other critters in to the family, and I can't do that to her.

Oh, I also tried to con my parents into agreeing to foster cats and/or dogs, and they pretty much shot that one down, too. They know that "fostering" really means "adopting without paying the adoption fee".
