slvr - I can't begin to say how sorry I am. Like you, I had so hoped that you would get good news from the specialist and Emmy would get better. Losing a furry loved one is never easy and I've known the pain you're experiencing all too well. Give Izzy some extra cuddles to help comfort both of you. I hope that Izzy is OK. Please post back and let us know.

As an experienced laboratorian, I'd like to weigh-in on the lab test. There is no perfect lab test. If you know who manufactured the original test, look and see if there have been any recalls or problems with the FDA. By any chance was it made by Abbott? They had at least one plant shut down by the FDA a few years ago because of some shoddy manufacturing. There were many human test kits affected, but I don't know if any veterinary kits were made in the same facility(ties). I've had to deal with several products over the years that were recalled or just quit performing the way they had previously and had we had to change methods. Made in China??? Don't trust it. I refuse to use anything in my lab made in China. And you have to look closely and ask questions, because it often only says "manufacturd for XYZ company, US address on the box.

I took a nap after having a good cry 'cause it gave me an awful headache. Woke up with Izzy literally wrapped around my FACE. Her nose was in my ear, one arm over my neck, her butt up against my forehead. That was new... lol. I certainly don't mind, but. It's clear she knows something is up and is on me like velcro.

I was going to type more but she just perched on my chest and now I can't see the screen, so... heh... thanks for all your condolences, ladies. I know you share my burden, and that helps more than anything else possibly can.

Emmy and Willow will take care of each other, Tina, and I refuse to ever believe anything else. Simon, too, for Cleo. They're all snuggling and lounging in sunbeams, just waiting patiently for us.

I got up at 9 with my alarm... and called in to work. And haven't moved since. Just stayed in bed cuddling the daylights out of Izzy. I still can't believe yesterday happened...
