He was Traci, he was very content. I will continue to do this to help his spirit. I know he misses his window that he use to spend a lot of time at in the camper.

Yes, all kitties should have a window to look out of, even if the weather is crappy, he can watch the wind blow the leaves around, my cats get a big kick out of watching the leaves.

This one is perfect, and often there are squirrels back there. Plenty of leaves blowing too. There is a small window in the bathroom but it is frosted and right behind the toilet. I wouldn't want him jumping up there. I'm so glad he enjoyed it. I was concerned about his demeanor and this just gave me confirmation that it is fine he's just bored.

Isn't he a handsome boy? My heart just wants him to have a good life.

Other than the bandage around his neck you'd never guess, looking at this picture, all that he has been through.

He's gorgeous, I love his coloring and when his fur grows out again, I'd love to see his tummy feathers again!!

Btw, that's a healthy pink nose he has there

Yes...he is looking healthy. He's still sneezing some but not as much. He's on his third "explore" trip, enjoying the window and getting some fresh air. We are getting a cold snap come Monday so I am letting him enjoy it while he can. He showed little interest in his mid afternoon feeding (I'm feeding him small amounts throughout the day - about 4 times- and leaving some kibble overnight) but I am not too concerned since he showed great interest in a few treats I offered him. He might be getting tired of the I/D. I might try just kibble at this evening's feeding to see if he eats that. He still has a way to go but he's making great progress as far as I am concerned!

Maybe ask the vet(s) if it's ok to get him on his prescription diet now? (the I/D should only be for temp use, but it's good he is eating it, because it is easy on the stomach) - for his long-term food, I'd definitely suggest the low-fat, easily digestible diet (I think you said they mentioned EN?)

I have some EN...that's the kibble he has been eating. He ate his dinner tonight. Sometimes I think he doesn't like the food that has been opened and refrigerated. I heat it for a few seconds in the microwave and then stir it and test it before I put it down. As long as he's eating I'm not too worried. I'll probably start transitioning him this coming week. I have about 5 cans of the I/D left but even if I don't use it I can return it to my vet and get credited for the cost.

You can see the belly feather starting to grow back! His belly looks kind of weird because of the way he way laying.

I thought he looked like he was giggling in this photo, with his paw over his mouth. He was cleaning.

Yep, the feathers will come back! He's such a darling!

Instead of microwaving, I just put drops of hot water from the tap over the food and stir slightly, it warms it up nicely, and also seems to increase the scent a little.
