Hi I am new to this forum. My cat is missing too. He was an indoor only cat. He got out when we had company. He has been gone for 3 weeks. We live in a rural area - so it is like looking for a need in a haystack. Have seen him 3 times in the 3 weeks he's been gone,(once just 10 feet from the back door) but he wouldn't come in.. But no sightings in the last 6 days. I am still optmistic for his return. I have posted notices, notified neighbours - everything you are supposed to do.
To give you some hope I will mention that I have had an indoor cat disappear for 3 weeks and come home safe and well. And one of our indoor/outdoor cats was gone for a month the first time and came home and the second time he was gone for six weeks and just appeared one day and this was in the middle of winter. He was a little thinner - but okay otherwise. We lived in the city at the time and there were the dangers of cars and believe it or not we had more foxes and coyotes come around our property than we have had since we moved to a rural area.
So don't give up hope yet. I will include his safe return soon in my prayers for my own Georgie.
Don't dispair yet!
Miss Molly.
My missing cat
Re: My missing cat
your cat may very well come back on it's own. My cat fell out out of a second floor window when we were not home and was missing for two days, then one night we see him scratching and mewoing right underneath the window he fell from. Cats are very smart and I hope yours finds it's way back.
