I wonder if you could take a moment to say a prayer for Fang. He was a young kitty, who lived at our local no-kill Humane Society. Fang was less than a year old and went to the Rainbow Bridge far too soon.
Fang was such a lively kitten. He was jet black and gorgeous. He loved to play and ambush. When he did, he nipped. That's how he got his name. As he got older, he didn't bite any more but the name stuck. Fang loved being fussed over and petted. He loved to pose - to sit down with his paws perfectly placed in front of him. Fang looked like a magazine or calendar picture. Unfortunately, I never had my camera ready when he did that. I should have tried harder but of course, I never realized he would leave us so soon.
It was such a shock when his back legs collapsed. We had thought it was an injury but our vet couldn't find anything. It appears he had a problem with his brain - a hemorrage or stroke, perhaps a tumor. Fang's mind was fine and he tried so hard to live. He was starting to eat on his own and pull himself around. We all hoped and prayed he might survive, even if he was never 100% well again.
I'm so sad that Fang never got to grow up and never had a home and family of his own. I hope the attention the H.S. Director, the other volunteers and I showed him made him happy and that he felt loved. I hope someday I will see little Fang again. The only comfort I have now is that he is romping and playing again at the Rainbow Bridge. His sickly body will never hinder him again. At the end, he got so frustrated that he couldn't move the way he wanted to.
I took a picture of Fang the day before he died. His fighter spirit was still there but he was so thin - it was sad. So, I'm posting a picture I took of him in earlier days.
Thank you for your prayers for sweet Fang. He deserved them so much. He was a little kitty inspiration. He never gave up but God told Fang He wanted him to come home.
I love you, "Fanger".

Prayers for Little Fang
My kitties Shadow and Tank enable me to enjoy my existence and brighten my world. And may my angels, Nikki, Sparky, Buster, Frosty, Snowball, Leo, Foghorn, and Humane Society kitties be playing in the sunshine at the Rainbow Bridge.
Re: Prayers for Little Fang
I'm so sorry, Sue, I know you cared so much for this sweet courageous, beautiful little one and I'm sure he knew that love and compassion. It is so sad to lose the ones we work with and have such high hopes for.
Safe and gentle journey sweet sweet Fang, you will never be forgotten ...((((((HUGS)))))))
