GoodBye Hissy Spitty

I know....I try to do my best for the semi-ferals outside....food, water, shelter....meds if I can get near them to get it into them...but darned they KNOW to NOT go into the yard with Taz and Mystique....heck....that yard is not even NEAR where they hang out...it is in the BACK of the house and the ferals stay out FRONT....Hissy had her babies in the garage....she NEVER went out back....

WHY she did tonight we will never know.....

We got home from grocery shopping....we were gone MAYBE an hour....Taz was barking terribly under their back porch so I got them shut into the porch and locked in as fast as we could....hubby got UNDER the porch and lifted her mud caked body out....as she was taking her last few breaths....

There was no external injuries, but she was gone before we could attempt to do anything for her...before he could even get her out of the yard, probably from internal ones....

I do not know if the dogs meant to hurt her or if they just did not realize how rough they "played"....when they come into the house, they could care less about the cats....but they do NOT want a cat in their yard.....darnnit all.....and the feral cats outside KNOW it.....we teach them to stay away from the fence....we shoo them away if we see them near the dogs yard....because they do either play too rough or just do not want them there.....

Run and play free forever across the Rainbow Bridge Sweet Little Hissy Spitty...we'll take care of your babies here as best as we can....one has gone to a forever home....two more to go....if we can catch them....
