Abigail

Post by Tambrey »

Abigail was helped across the Rainbow Bridge this morning....

My mom went to get the mail and Abigail was laying in the yard and would not get up...Mom called the vet and he came to the farm.....Abigail could not move other than her head and her front feet...she had a stroke....

The vet and my mom sat there in the front yard, in a warm gentle rain, with Mom holding Abigail's head and talking to her as the vet helped her take those final steps.....

But...since she had this last ordeal I had posted about....she has had a good life and MUCH longer than any of us ever expected her to...she even lived another winter running the hills she loved and everything....

Run Free once again, Dear Sweet Abigail...and try to stay away from sticks this time girl!!

(when she was a young pup she ran into a stick in the field while playing with her littermates one day and was near blind in her left eye - we figure she could see shadows)

Oh no, Tambrey, I'm crying with you, Abigail was so sweet, so huggable, so precious. I remember her previous incident before and I was scared for her then. It is comforting to know that she had been doing so well after the incident. I hope you and mom are comforted with the memories, I'm sure she gave you many!

Please pass on our thoughts and prayers to mom, this must be so difficult for her, please let her know she's not alone....

Safe and gentle journey, sweet Abigail, you will be so missed

I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner, Tambrey. I'm so sorry to hear about sweet Abigail. Please send my sympathies to your Mom too.

It's so hard to let them go. Abigail looks like such a wonderful doggy. I know she'll make many friends at the Bridge. Perhaps she's playing with my Sparky doggy!

Take care and try to remember the many happy years your family had with Abigail.

My kitties Shadow and Tank enable me to enjoy my existence and brighten my world. And may my angels, Nikki, Sparky, Buster, Frosty, Snowball, Leo, Foghorn, and Humane Society kitties be playing in the sunshine at the Rainbow Bridge.

It is very hard for me to even look at her pics as she reminds me of Honey...your Mom must feel awful. Like losing a child, friend, etc...peaceful trip across the bridge, Abigail...Honey will love playing with you.
