Hello,

I'm asking for prayers for Shannon. She's been through quite a lot in the past year with Hyperthyroid and CRF. She was doing so well but her recent blood tests showed high calcium. They will call and explain this to me but one of the causes is Lymphoma which my cat Noodles died of. Please pray for Shannon. My heart is breaking. Thank you.

I found out tonight that Shannon's serum blood level for calcium is 12.2 down from 13 since she is off the Calcitriol. The ionised calcium was .05 over the normal. The vet is leaning toward the calcitriol raising the calcium levels even in the ionised test. I do hope being off the medicine will turn it around but I can't help but worry about the cancer. I am advised not to give her the Calcitriol and they will test again in a week. Please pray that's all it is and it can be fixed. Shannon has earned more time on this earth.
