the soft warmth of your body
chased the chill of November
your breath warmed my hand
my arm crossed your shoulder
winter solstice still a month away
we dreamed our dreams together
long nights under a frost moon
time and love could last forever
stories in pictures from my heart
stories of love to hold and keep
I hold you now within my dreams
is this your dream in endless sleep
November

Re: November
jdf, I cried enough today reading "Animal Blessings" by June Cotner. Now you had to post such a beautiful poem for Roxy. I know how much you love her and I love Magnum the same way. Thanksgiving wiil be hard without them waiting by the table for thier turn to eat.
Easter 2000 was Magnum's last big holiday feast with us. I can still see his image wating patiently for some food, looking skinny and pathetic. he had just gotten sick in March. Over the next four months I sure did fatten hime up with home cooked chicken and salmon.
Take care.

That brought tears to my eyes. Warmest of hugs to you, Nancy, Ruby, and Ringo.
