Catnip

Greetings, i have two female kittens that are 4.5 months old, was thinking of introducing them to some live catnip, how much is safe? I was thinking of just letting them nibble at the plant as they pleased for a little while.

Why not get pre-packaged catnip that you can buy readily available at any pet store? It's safer, and easier to allow the cats access (in moderation).

I`m curious. I have catnip growing all around here. Is there a danger with the plant? I collect it as treats for my friends and their cats also.

No, not necessarily, but I would exercise caution with an outdoor plant that may have been exposed to fertilzers, undesireable bugs or even sprayed urine from neighborhood cats, etc.
