I was gone for awhile and came home to a flea infestation. I called pest service and had my house treated. At the same time, I took my two cats to the vet to be treated and left them overnight so that they weren't exposed to the chemicals in the house. The vets office treated them with Advantage and also bathed them to remove most of the flea dirt.
I brought them home yesterday. I am still finding stragglers. Could there have been a few left in the house that jumped on the cats when they came home and will die or perhaps the treatment didn't kill all the fleas on the cats? Does the treatment not kill larvea and all but they'll soon die? Are my fleas just resistant to all chemicals?!

Re: Advantage/Frontline
I had this happen once, and I bathed my cat first and then applied the Advantage. The treatment in your home will probably take awhile to work,. I suggest you vaccuum and even shampoo your carpeting, as the new eggs will hatch out from the carpeting and bedding of your cats.
Wash everything thoroughly in hot water too.

Re: Advantage/Frontline
Lucky for me, I have mostly hardwood floors. I already vacumed all my furniture in detail and cleaned all my floors. I changed sheets and all also. Basically, I treated/changed/cleaned all fabric in my home.
Perhaps there are a few left in the house that haven't died yet but soon will. My pest control person said it would last for like 3-4 months so I would imagine/hope that any that are left will soon die.
thanks for your help!
