I gave the first dose of Roundworm meds to the girls on Saturday, and it's already working - I found a bunch of them in the litter box already (gross, but glad to see results...)
I've noticed they already started eating less. Is this because the worms are being eliminated and the girls are getting more nutrition, or should I be concerned something else is wrong? All their bloodwork came back just fine last week.
Thanks,
EJ

Re: Worm meds working....
Worms generally cause a cat to have a voracious appetite (especially with tapeworms), so the decreased amounts of food could be contributed to the worms expelling, but keep an eye on them for the next few days, they should be eating a consistent amount on a daily basis. Do they seem playful and energetic otherwise?

Re: Worm meds working....
Yes, they have been playing, maybe even a little more than usual they are craving attention. (Guilty working mom here - I felt so bad leaving this morning...)
They have certainly been eating, just not licking the bowl clean and devouring every single bite as they had been before the meds.
