Neutering

Post by Saphire_1975 »

My cat Sammy got neutered on Tuesday, the vet said that the operation went smoothly. My concern is that since then he has just been lazy. I've checked the area and it seems fine, no dicharge or tare's and he's not licking it to much. His temperature is also fine. He is playing but spends most of his time just relaxing which is unlike him. I talked to the vet today and she said not to wory about it, he is probably just stressed out. What do you guys think :?: Should I listen to her and just see if he livens up after a couple of days or should I have him checked out?

BTW, the kitten's are starting to move around alot witch is driving Mama crazy :D

Saphire, he's still sore so give him another few days to get his bearings. Just make sure he is not lethargic or not eating, or if his incision site is bruised, red or swollen, then back to vet immediately. Chances are he just needs time to recuperate....
