I recently discovered that my cat has a mole on his neck. I am unable to see it because he is too fuzzy however I can easily feel it.
Is it unusual for a cat to have a mole? Is this cause for concern?

Mole on Cat's Neck
Cat spoiler, evidently.
Re: Mole on Cat's Neck
It is probably not a mole, as cats rarely ever develop them. However, if this just recently appeared, is colored, or has changed color, shape and size, you need to get your kitty seen by your vet immediately.
NO lump or bump should ever go undetected by your vet. It could be anything from an infected abcess, to an enlarged lymph node, to a thyroid nodule, etc, and only your vet can determine what this is upon an exam. Get kitty seen immediately please.
