Suddenly Scared....

My cat is acting VERY odd! He just lays under the bed and looks scared, VERY large pupils and he runs from me.... he lets me pick him up if I catch him and does not try to hurt me. He is just VERY scared looking.

A few times he attempted to climb up on the bed with me but got scared and ran off.

The pupils are the most concerning. I have no money for the vet. So I was hoping there were some things I could check for myself!

Your post is too vague....what happened today or very recently that could have scared him? How is his appetite, litterbox habits, etc? Anything else that was unsual or changed recently to affect him?

If there are any other obvious health symptoms other than appearing scared, you have to get him seen by your vet....we have no idea what has occured or what might be developing healthwise.

I was too anxious. I took him into the vet.

He is perfectly fine. He acted like a normal cat, purring and snuggling at the vet.

He is still scared of the bedroom, but acts normal everywhere else. Vet says maybe when I was out this weekend something loud happened that scared him and he just remembers it.

Or something fell over, almost hitting him?
