Can cats detect pregnancy??

Post by lovemyfurbabies »

My husband and I are trying for our first baby and I was just wondering....

I've heard before that cats can often sense that you are pregnant before you even know you are!
Like, they will be more affectionate and clingy, etc....
Is this true????

I cannot say for sure...but I know when I had my Tigger...he was not much a snuggler...however, when I was pregnant, he took to curling up aroud my belly almost to the point of irritating me!!

Good luck :) Let us know

I'd say it's likely a cat would react to pregnancy. Cats are known to have supernatural powers, like being able to detect storms and such. So if your cat is a loner and starts cuddling with you constantly, or if you notice any drastic change in Kitty's behavior, then that's just her way of saying "I know something you don't know..."

...assuming you don't know of course ^-^
