New 6 month old tabby

Post by Kitty (honest) »

Hi - My name is Kitty (honest) - I have recently adoped a cat. Her name is Leah. My question is - I live in an efficiency apartment. One big room with a kitchen and bath. I am concerned about it being too small for Leah. I have many toys for her and she plays a lot. I give her a great deal of affection (petting - kissing - hugging, etc.) I want her to be happy. How much room does a cat need? She sleeps a lot. (Except at night). She is very loving and appears to be happy. What do you all think?? Thanks. [/b]

I'm sure she will be fine. It is better than her living outside, where she could get hurt.

I keep mine inside all the time and I recently bought them a cat tree to climb and they love it! I got mine from Wal-Mart for $29 I think(it was in a box, not assembled). It is worth the investment if you can get one. I know the ones from the pet stores are very expensive, so I was glad to find this one.

Good luck with your new kitty.

Well If Leah seems happy enough then you should be happy too :)
Just make sure she has a Cat Litter Tray that you clean regularly with a fresh supply of water and available food when she wants it.
As you are worried that she has not enough room, try not to croud her so much, let her have her privacy when she wants it, but nethertheless play with her lots! :)
Have fun with your new cat
