help finding kittens???

Post by pebble4u »

A stray has made up residence at our home, and I have to admit I love her. She came to us pregnant during a few of the cold nights and we took her in. I took her to the vet to make certain she was healthy. Well last week she ran out the front door when my husband came in from work. Sure enough when she came back in 2 days ago, she is skinny as a rail. She ate, then wanted right back out. My husband and i looked at her, and you can tell she has been nursing. So I have to let her back out to take care of the kittens. Here's my problem, is there anyway to find these kittens??? My husband says that we'll hear them within the next few weeks, I want to find them before then. My husband tells me to be patient that they are fine. Is there any way in which I can find these kittens? We have looked under our house and or neighbors houses and have found nothing. But the other night when she came in it was raining, and the only thing that was wet on her was her paws.

Only thing I know of is to follow her outside.....slowly and quietly as possible. She may at first, ignore you and take you on a wild goose-chase, but patience may pay off, she just may lead you to the kittens. If you're quiet, you will hear them when she is near them.

Hopefully, you can find them quickly, and get both them and her back indoors where it's safe....In the meantime, make sure she eats plenty (kitten food is ideal for her right now, for added nutrients while nursing).
