one of the professionals will be of better advice, but i will chime in from my experience.CatJess wrote:my cat Tiger is going to the bathroom everywhere but his litterbox but i clean it everyday.
sounds like either your kitty doesn't like the litter your using or he is trying to find a place that is more comfortable due to possible pain.
a quick (like tomorrow morning early) visit to a local vet will rule out a possible infection that he may have. the behavior your explaining is a sign of something that will not go away by hoping for the best, you need to intervene in some way.
please update here after your vet visit, good luck and the best to Tiger.
I assume you are referring to urination, and Jason is absolutely correct, you need to get your kitty to your vet immediately to rule out urinary tract infection or urinary blockage, which can be fatal in a matter of hours if not detected! Straining, blood in urine, squatting in unusual places, crying out, frequent trips to the litterbox or other areas, and painful abdomen all warrant and EMERGENCY VET immediately!
There is no need to assume you have to give up your kitty. You adopted your kitty for life and he is depending on you to get to the cause of the matter. My guess is a health condition, and only after you've seen your vet, can you begin to investigate causes of stress in the environment.
Get kitty to your vet now, please, and post back what your vet determines. If a clean bill of health is issued, we can then help you determine causes of stress in the enviroment.
And a note, I edited your post, too many smilies. We try to keep them to a minimal where possible so as not to slow the board down.
