Ok...we have two cats, Kitty (female, 11 years) and Dupid. Kitty's the best cat anyone could ever ask for...and then there's Dupid.
Dupid is about 5 years old, I think. When we adopted him as a kitten, he was fine. After a few months, though, he started peeing and spraying all over the house. We had him fixed and the problem was solved for a few years...
Well, it's back. He's still the energetic, stupid, toilet-scuba-diving-champ he has always been, but now for no apparent reason he's started peeing all over the house...Everywhere other than in his litterbox, it seems. We keep the litterbox cleaner than usual, we've tried blocking out his favorite urinating rooms, but nothing is helping: he just finds a new place to urinate all over. The stench in my bedroom is now so bad that I can not sleep in there... I have to sleep on the couch, and he's peed under that, so it doesn't help much to sleep there.
Anyway, do you know of anything we could do to stop the maddness? Thank you so much....

Help... Please!
Re: Help... Please!
First and foremost is getting him to your vet for a full health exam and urinalysis, you need to rule out potential urinary tract infection or obstruction, the latter can be fatal if not treated immediately.
Spraying and marking behavior are usually do to either an infection/obstruction or due to recent changes and stress in the environment. Health check is imperative right now, worry about environmental stress after the vet check. There are several posts in this forum for spraying and marking behavior issues, use the search function to browse them, but please, to your vet ASAP.

My cat was doing the same thing.
Took her to the vet and he found blood in her urine.
It was an infection.
He gave her a shot (at my request, because we were going to be out of town that weekend) then I started her on her medicine at home Sunday night.
I haven't noticed her doing it since she has been to the vet.
How funny!
