Hi
I got a 4 month kitten from a shelter and he had a runny eye. I took him to the vet, got all vacination done and got tetramycin and clavamox for him. Later on he was put on antiviral ... Nothing seems to cure him completely. He is already almost 1 year old and his eye is not better. What could help? I cannot pay $30 for every vet visit. So far only clavamox seems to help but the dosage that I get is not enough to clear it completely. How long can I give this medication to my cat without harm?
Thanks a lot

Re: Runny eyes won't clear
See a new vet promptly and request a cytology to rule out other infectious causes (i.e., herpesvirus vs calicivirus or chlamydia, or even a physiological problem, etc). It should be obvious to your vet that since kitty is not responding to repeated antibiotics, a cytology should be done to isolate the problem in order to treat more effectively.
