Cats runny eyes??

Me and my girlfriend just got two new cats...white ones, and one of them has just recently got runny eyes. It also looks like the inner eyelid is swollen a bit or something because you can see it when his eye is open. It's dicharging a lot tear like, and just like human gookies. Can anyone give me some advice on what to do!!!

Please get them to your vet ASAP.....since you didn't state how old they are, or if they've been examined since you aquired them, best thing to do is get them examined immediately. It sounds like an upper respiratory infection, in which antibiotics and possiblly opthalmic eye ointments can benefit, but only your vet can say whether this is upper respiratory infection vs something altogether different.
