vet appointment

Post by Luipa »

Hi everyone, I've been on this site a few times to post in the past, and i was hoping to get a simple question answered. I've got two cats, a male and female, both fixed and about a year and a half old. I want to take them to the vet just because it's been almost a year since they've been there. But what should i ask the vet to look at? they were given all their initial shots when they were babies- do they need booster shots even if they are indoor cats? we live on the 18th floor and so they never come in contact with any other animals, and are never in danger of "escaping". thanks...

If your cats are relatively healthy, then a comprehensive exam should be all that is necessary. If, on the otherhand, you've ever noticed your cats with sudden signs of illness, changes in behavior, appetite/urination habits, etc, then you would want to discuss further diagnostics with your vet, as they apply.

As for vaccinations, see our vaccination page and check the accompanying links for protocols and risk assessment.
